The prices range from 50 cents for children up to $14 for adults at the various zoos. Why not stop for lunch at Schiller’s Liquor Bar during the day which was voted one of the most kid friendly restaurants in New York City. You can bring your own food for the children or they can choose from the affordable children’s menu. Children under 5 years of age even get a free dessert. Other restaurants that only add to the greatness of a family vacation in New York are Big Nick’s Burger and Pizza Joint, Tavern on the Green, Serendipity, and Dinosaur BBQ.
Don’t forget to let the children get out and play in the many playgrounds, museums, and toy stores that are everywhere throughout the city. A family vacation in New York is more than just landmarks and historical buildings; it is about fun and adventure for every member of your family.
