Even children can take part in the Museum of Natural History in New York in more ways then simply walking through the museum. There are day camps for grade school children in first through seventh grade. They can spend three days for $325 per child, or $425 for five days of instruction, learning, and enjoying. Each group of five children has one instructor who gives them hands on learning in various areas of the museum. You can drop your children off at 9am with their bagged lunch and off they go into the world of learning.

If you are just stopping by just for the day, the tickets cost $18 per adult, and $12 per child. Seniors and students also get various discounts both on tickets and in the store and dining facilities. Besides the museum, there are 45 halls and the Rose Center for Earth and Space to explore. You can also buy tickets for certain shows or exhibits that may not be included in the price of admission.

After you visit The Museum of Natural History in New York, you can head off to discover some of the other New York Museums. There is the Museum of the City of New York which costs $20 per family or $9 per adult with children 12 and younger costing nothing. Located on 5th Avenue at 103rd street, it is a wonderful museum that talks about the history of New York and how it came to be. It will highlight some of the best sites to visit as well as the history and architecture of the city.
