Just because Las Vegas is often marketed as the City of Sin does not mean that you cannot take the whole family along on a Las Vegas vacation. Contrary to what you might see on TV, you can arrange for a fun, exciting and family-friendly trip for everybody, whether you are bringing your 50-year old boss or 5-year old son. Las Vegas remains one of the top vacation hotspots in the United States, and perhaps even the world.
Where Hospitality is a Must
In a city that thrives primarily on tourists, it should come as no surprise to you that the accommodations in Las Vegas are some of the best and most, well, accommodating in the US. Most employ a full staff that will cater to your every need 24/7, and often extending services to you even when you’re outside the hotel. When you go to Las Vegas, pampering is one thing that you should expect to get from all around.
A lot of the hotels on the Strip also provide regular car or shuttle services to make it easier for you to go around. Shuttle services typically ply a route between the hotels and McCarran International Airport, but there’s also service between the clusters of hotels and the major landmarks in the area – including the Strip.
A Family-Friendly Side
Tourist gamblers don’t usually take tours because they already know which casinos they’ll be playing in. If, however, you’re traveling with family, a tour will be your best option to maximize the experience for everybody with you. At the same time, you’ll be cutting down on costs because everything from transport to admission costs will be charged using group rates.
All tour companies that operate in Las Vegas offer a family-friendly option. That is, the guide will take you in and around the points of interest in Las Vegas without going through too many casinos. On family-friendly trips, the seedier parts of town are omitted altogether, and gambling is barely discussed. After all, the kids won’t have much fun if all the adults are at the slots while they’re not even allowed to approach the machines.
Las Vegas: Full of Life
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that Las Vegas is just all about gambling and casinos. There are lots of things to do and see in Las Vegas that don’t have anything to do with slot machines and other R-rated pleasures.
Shows, for example, are fixtures in Las Vegas, particularly on the strip. Magic shows, animal displays and even music concerts are all held in venues around the Strip. Exhibits and museums are also worth looking at if anybody’s an art or history buff. Just take a look around the non-gambling parts of the casinos and you will find something to do. The Venetian, for example, offers a gondola ride through its realistic faux Venetian scenery.
That’s another reason why tours would be a good idea for a family vacation in Las Vegas. Not only will you be able to get cheaper tickets, but you will also be able to plan out all those activities in advance so that your family can smoothly move from one spot to another. That way, you will get to see as many attractions as you can. You won’t get too many bored kids with a well-thought out, thoroughly planned, Las Vegas vacation.
