If you have ever dreamed of taking a camping safari in South Africa, now is the time to make that dream a reality. From local attractions to the amazing wildlife, when you go on a safari you will get hotel accommodations for at least 3 nights, and then 16 nights of camping out in the wild. You can visit up to four of South Africa’s most popular national parks where you can see sights that you have never even imagined.

An example of a 20-day camping safari takes you from Cape Town which is the southernmost tip of South Africa all the way to Victoria Falls which is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Your first stop will be Lambert’s Bay after leaving Cape Town. This is where you will begin your camping adventure. Your guide will be with you at all times in order to help you set up your tent, show you where you can go for walks safely, take you for canoe rides up and down the rivers, and they will help you with any questions about what you see around you.

The first national park you will go to is the Namib Naukluft National Park which is one of the world’s oldest deserts. Existing for more than 130 years you can climb the world’s highest sand dune, photograph some of the amazing wildlife and fauna, or just sit and watch a fantastic sunrise. Next, enjoy your free time to explore the nearby town of Swakomund which is set between the sea and the desert. Here you can enjoy the local cuisine, do some shopping, head to the beach to sunbathe or swim, or do some biking over the amazing terrain.

Next you will head to Etosha National Park where you can see the lions, rhinos, elephants and leopards roaming wild. On a special 4×4 drive, for three hours you can just relish in what nature has to offer you. From there you can visit Waterberg Plateau National Park which has the most amazing rock formations. While exploring you may even run into a number of endangered species. You can either tour the park on your own or you can head out on another drive which is led by an experienced guide so you get up close and personal with your surroundings.

Nothing is better than spending a night on a private game farm which is something you can do at Gobabis, which is where you can venture to the Okavango Delta. In the Delta, you can canoe up and down the lagoons and waterways, where you will be able to see the birds and other various wildlife through the walking and water tours. With three days spent here, you will hardly want to leave. But you must if you want to head to Chobe National Park which is the next stop. Here you will camp right on the Chobe River where you can explore the natural habitats of the large herd of elephants that make this their home. Don’t forget to look around to spot the hippos, crocodile, and local animals that make themselves very well known.

Finally you reach the end of your 20-day vacation as you head to Victoria Falls. Here you will marvel in the beauty as you take in one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Although it may be time to go home, your experiences and your memories will never fade as you will truly have had one of the best times of your life.
