Disney World Cruises To The Bahamas

If you are looking for a fun vacation for you and the kids this summer, then why not consider a cruise. You could, of course, take one to the Caribbean, Mexico, or Alaska, but how about Disney World Cruises to the Bahamas?

These cruises leave from Port Canaveral, which is thirty miles from Orlando. The ships make two stopovers on the way to the Bahamas, at Nassau and at Castaway Cay. 3, 4, 5 and 7 night packages can all be booked through the Disney website.

Disney World is fairly new to the business of cruises, unlike some of the other, older companies which operate cruises to the Bahamas.

There are two vessels which usually make these trips, named the Magic and the Wonder. These ships are very similar, both accommodating 2,400 passengers. There are also two further ships being built, which accommodate 4,000, meaning many more people will be able to enjoy these cruises each year.

There is a rotational dining system on the cruise ship, and three different restaurants on each. This means that there are lots of delicious dishes for you to enjoy whenever meal time comes around.

All meals are included in your cruise package, in fact the only thing that isn’t is your drinks. If you want to avoid this cost, then you can take your own drinks with you in your luggage.

There are lots of activities to enjoy on Disney World cruises to the Bahamas, before you even get to your destination. On-board counselors plan activities for the children. There are also crew members who will look after the children for you if you want to enjoy activities and a child is ill or doesn’t want to take part.

It is a good idea to book your cruise well in advance, preferably six months beforehand or more. These bookings can be made through a travel agent or on the internet, whichever is easiest for you.

On the day of your departure, you need to be at the port two hours or more in advance, just in case there should be any problems. Should you be late and miss the ship’s departure, Disney will arrange for you to be able to join it at its next port of call.

These cruises operate all through the year, and if the weather does not permit departure (for example in the hurricane season), then Disney will arrange for your trip to be rescheduled on a different date.

Pack all you’re the things you will need for the cruise before leaving, including your passport. You will need this when you arrive, and it’s a good idea to have it with you all the time anyway as a precaution.

So make a booking with Disney World cruises to the Bahamas, and start making your preparations. After all, which other cruise company gives you the opportunity to meet Mickey and friends on the trip?
